Explanation. Dotential difference across capacitors will be peak voltage when diode is in forward bias. Diode will be in forward bias when end $A$ is at positive potential of cycle.

So potential at $C=$ peak value of

$V=V_{r m s} \sqrt{2}=220 \sqrt{2} \mathrm{~V}$.
