The given table shows the attendance at a stadium (having a seating capacity of 40000) during all the days of a 5-day test match.

The number of people who stayed back till the end of play on Friday was what percent more than that on Thursday?

Number of people who stayed back till the end of the game:

Friday $\Rightarrow \frac{24000 \times 90}{100}=21600$

Thursday $\Rightarrow \frac{18000 \times 80}{100}=14400$

Required percent $=\frac{21600-14400}{14400} \times 100$ $=\frac{7200}{144}=50 \%$
