KCET Counselling 2024 - Step-wise Procedure
Qualified candidates must participate in the counselling process of KCET 2024. The Karnataka CET 2024 counselling process will be conducted online. If the candidates fail to complete the counselling process, they will not be considered for admission.
Procedure of KCET 2024 Counselling
The procedure for KCET 2024 Counselling is as follows:
Step 1 - Document Verification and Registration: All qualified candidates must verify their documents at specified centres. The following documents must be produced:
- Score card of SSLC/10th Standard.
- Score card of 2nd PUC/12th Standard.
- Two recent passport size photographs.
- Study Certificate Countersigned by the concerned BEO/DDPI.
- Any other required documents.
- KCET 2024 application form printout.
- Proof of application fee payment.
- KCET 2024 admit card.
For the KCET counselling in 2024, the following documents are required:
- Caste/Caste Income Certificate
- Kannada Medium Certificate
- Income Certificate
- Rural Study Certificate
- Parent’s study certificate/Hometown certificate/Domicile certificate/Employment certificate/Cumulative Record/Marks Card, etc., for candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats based on parent’s domicile/study/employment
- Duly sworn in Affidavit of the candidate who claims eligibility under Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses C and D (Regarding Mother Tongue)
After document verification, candidates will receive a unique ID and password. Photocopies of the documents will be retained by KEA, and the original documents will be returned to the candidates. Candidates will also receive an acknowledgment card and verification slip.
Step 2 - Choice Filling and Locking The next step is choice filling and locking, where verified candidates can log in using their KCET number to select their preferred courses and colleges. They can make changes to their choices before the final date, but no changes will be accepted after the choices are locked.
After the choice filling process, the authorities will announce the mock seat allotment result of KCET 2024. Candidates can check their chances of admission based on their merit.
Step 3 - Preferred Seats
Candidates have the option to change their seat preferences and check their allotment status online by logging in with their CET number. The KCET 2024 counseling process will consist of two rounds of allotment, a second extended round, and a special round. Candidates are required to download and print the provisional allotment letter.
Step 4 - Reporting at Allotted Institutes
Selected candidates must report to their respective allotted institutes before the last date for KCET document verification 2024. During reporting, candidates need to present their documents, allotment letter, and pay the KCET counseling fees.
