  1. (c) Fringe width $\beta=\frac{\lambda D}{d}$;

From question $D^{\prime}=2 D$ and $d^{\prime}=\frac{d}{2}$

$\therefore \beta^{\prime}=\frac{\lambda D^{\prime}}{d^{\prime}}=4 \beta$
