  1. (b) Given, Total distance =200m speed in first half distance =40km/hr speed in second half distance =vkm/hr.

 So, vav= Total distance covered  Total time elapsed 48=200×103(100×10340)+(100×103v)

or 140+1v=248=124

or 1v=124140=2120=160

or v=60km/h

v=60km/h
