Solution:

(a) Given, $E_{r m s} = 6 V / m$

$\frac{E_{r m s}}{B_{r m s}} = c$

$\Rightarrow B_{r m s} = \frac{E_{r m s}}{c}$

$B_{r m s} = \frac{B_{0}}{\sqrt{2}} \Rightarrow B_{0} = \sqrt{2} B_{r m s}$

$B_{0} = \sqrt{2} \times \frac{E_{r m s}}{c}$ From equation (i)

$= \frac{\sqrt{2} \times 6}{3 \times 10^{8}} = 2.83 \times 10^{- 8} T$
