hybridisation, thus tetrahedral in shape. Hence, the four ligands are not different to exhibit optical isomerism. Correct choice: (d)

(ii) [Mabcd] does not have a plane of symmetry, thus it will show optical isomerism. Whereas, [Ma2b2] has a plane of symmetry, thus it will show optical isomerism also.

Tetrahedral complexes are symmetrical in all directions. Thus, cannot show geometrical isomerism.
