A wire of resistance $R$ and length $L$ is cut into 5 equal parts. If these parts are joined parallely, then resultant resistance will be :
(1) $\frac{1}{25} R$
(2) $\frac{1}{5} R$
(3) $25 R$
(4) $5 R$

Solution:
Resistance of each part $=\frac{R}{5}$
Total resistance $=\frac{1}{5} \times \frac{R}{5}=\frac{R}{25}$
