Current Electricity Question 11

Question 11 - 2024 (27 Jan Shift 2)

Three voltmeters, all having different internal resistances are joined as shown in figure. When some potential difference is applied across $A$ and $B$, their readings are $V _1, V _2$ and $V _3$. Choose the correct option.

(1) $V _1=V _2$

(2) $V _1 \neq V _3-V _2$

(3) $V _1+V _2>V _3$

(4) $V _1+V _2=V _3$

Show Answer

Answer: (4)

Solution:

From KVL,

$V _1+V _2-V _3=\mathbf{0} \Rightarrow V _1+V _2=V _3$
