  1. $u _{\text {av }}$ (average velocity) $=\sqrt{\frac{8 R T _1}{\pi M}}$

$$ \begin{aligned} \Rightarrow & & \frac{9 \times 10^{4}}{100} ms^{-1} & =\sqrt{\frac{8 \times 8.314 T _1}{3.14 \times 44 \times 10^{-3}}} \ \Rightarrow & & T _1 & =1682.5 K \end{aligned} $$

Also, for the same gas
