  1. $\mathrm{NH} _{4} \mathrm{NO} _{3} \xrightarrow{\text { Heat }} \mathrm{N} _{2} \mathrm{O}+2 \mathrm{H} _{2} \mathrm{O}$

$\mathrm{NH} _{2} \mathrm{OH} \cdot \mathrm{HCl}+\mathrm{NaNO} _{2} \longrightarrow \mathrm{NaCl}+2 \mathrm{H} _{2} \mathrm{O}+\mathrm{N} _{2} \mathrm{O}$

However, $\mathrm{NH} _{4} \mathrm{NO} _{2}$ on heating gives $\mathrm{N} _{2}$.
