41. What is the relation between the refractive indices $\mu _1$ and $\mu _2$ ? If the behaviour of light rays is as shown in the figure.(1979)

Solution:
- From first figure it is clear that
$$ \mu=\mu _1 $$
From second figure it is clear that
$$ \begin{aligned} & \mu<\mu _2 \\ \therefore & \mu _1<\mu _2 \end{aligned} $$
