Solution:
- In one half cycle when $B$ is at higher potential then, $D _4$ and $D _2$ are forward biased and current follows the path $B D _4 M N D _2 D B$.
In the second half cycle when $D$ is at higher potential, $D _3$ and $D _1$ are forward biased. Hence, current follows the path $D D _3 M N D _1 B D$. In both the cycles we see that current through the resistance is from $M$ to $N$, i.e., the given circuit behaves as full wave rectifier.
