Question: Q. 1. In Figure, assuming the diodes to be ideal,

(a) $D_{1}$ is forward biased and $D_{2}$ is reverse biased and hence current flows from $A$ to $B$

(b) $D_{2}$ is forward biased and $D_{1}$ is reverse biased and hence no current flows from $B$ to $A$ and vice versa.

(d) $D_{1}$ and $D_{2}$ are both reverse biased and hence no current flows from $A$ to $B$ and vice versa.

Ans. Correct option : (b)

Explanation : In circuit, $A$ is at $- 10 V$ and $B$ is at $0 V$ . So $B$ is positive than $A$ . So $\mathrm{D}{2} $i s i n f o r w a r d b i a s a n d$ D{1} $i s i n r e v e r s e b i a s s o n o c u r r e n t f l o w s f r o m$ A $t o$ B $o r$ B $t o$ A$.
