Ans. At the time of sunrise or sunset, sun is at horizon. Hence sunrays have to travel longer distance before reaching to our eye. During this travel shorter wavelength get scattered as we receive only longer wavelengths i.e., red, orange. This is the reason sun appear red at sunrise and sunset. 1
