Ans. (i) Communication, using waves which travel in straight line from transmitting antenna to receiving antenna is called line of sight communication. $\mathbf{1}$
(ii) Because T.V. signal waves are not reflected back by the ionosphere
$$ d=\sqrt{2 h R} $$
