As we know $ i _{E}=i _{C}+i _{B} $
$ \Rightarrow \frac{i _{e}}{i _{c}}=1+\frac{i _{b}}{i _{c}} $

$ \Rightarrow \beta =\frac{\alpha }{1-\alpha } $ .
