Solution:

[c] Given $d = 1 m m, λ = 6.5 \times 10^{- 7} m, D = 1 m$ .

For $n^{t h}$ dark fringe $y_{n} = (\frac{2 n - 1}{2}) \frac{D λ}{d}$ .

For third fringe, $y_{3} = (\frac{2 \times 3 - 1}{2}) \times \frac{1 \times 6.5 \times 10^{- 7}}{1 \times 10^{- 3}} = 1.625 m m$ .
