Capacity of spherical conductor of 20 cm diameter $C_{1} = 4 π ε_{0} r = 4 π ε_{0} \times 10$

Capacity of parallel plate air capacitor $C_{2} = \frac{ε_{0} A}{d} = \frac{ε_{0} [π {(2)}^{2}]}{d} = \frac{ε_{0} \times 4 π}{d}$ Hence $C_{1} = C_{2}$

therefore $40 π ε_{0} = \frac{4 π ε_{0}}{d}$

therefore $d = 10^{- 3} m$
