Residents of Dakshina Kannada Celebrate Tulu’s Addition to Google Translate
Mangaluru: The Tulu-speaking community in Dakshina Kannada is overjoyed with the addition of the Tulu language to Google Translate.
Taranath Gatti Kapikad, President of the Karnataka Tulu Sahithya Academy, expressed that this inclusion is a significant achievement and a global recognition for the Tulu language.
Kapikad emphasized, “The addition of Tulu to Google Translate is a moment of pride for Tulu speakers.” He acknowledged that sometimes Google Translate may not get words exactly right, but users can provide feedback to help improve accuracy. He encouraged Tulu speakers to use this new feature, noting that it will also be helpful for those who do not speak Tulu.
