Technology Part 15

How Did the Cloud Market Become Ready for Growth? | The Interface Podcast - Episode 3

Imagine asking ChatGPT a question about the universe. Your question travels digitally to a virtual machine that uses the bot’s extensive training data, all stored in a data center, commonly known as the Cloud. ChatGPT then quickly generates an answer for you.

This entire process happens in just a few seconds. Thanks to powerful and constantly improving GPUs, the cloud allows for fast computing and minimal delay. Over the past twenty years, the industry has completely changed how data is stored, organized, analyzed, and accessed. Data centers are now transforming how work is structured and performed.

While the cloud has made business operations more efficient, it has also created environmental issues. Cloud services consume large amounts of electricity to power servers, cooling systems, and other infrastructure. Much of this energy still comes from fossil fuels, leading to greenhouse gas emissions.

Joining me to talk about the development of data centers, the cloud business model, and the future of cloud computing is Bhavesh Goswami, the Founder and CEO of CloudThat.
