Senior Congress Leader Dharmapuri Srinivas Passes Away at 76

NEW DELHI: Dharmapuri Srinivas, a prominent figure in the Congress party and former president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, has died at the age of 76. His family shared that he had been struggling with an illness for some time and suffered a heart attack at 3 am on Saturday.

Throughout his political career, Srinivas held several important roles, including Minister, Member of Parliament (MP), and President of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC). Telangana’s Minister for Transport and BC Welfare, Ponnam Prabhakar, expressed his sorrow over Srinivas’s passing. He recalled Srinivas’s contributions as a Minister and PCC Chief and mentioned their long association within the party. Prabhakar extended his condolences to Srinivas’s family and prayed for them to have strength during this tough period.

Additionally, Telangana’s Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Women and Child Welfare, Dansari Anasuya Seethakka, also conveyed her heartfelt condolences. She prayed for Srinivas’s soul to rest in peace.
