Leaked Internal Code Indicates iPhone 16 Series Will Feature A18 Chip
For the past few years, Apple has been using different chips for various iPhone models. However, this might change with the upcoming iPhone 16 series. According to a report by MacRumors, leaked code from Apple’s backend suggests that the company plans to use the same A18 chip in all iPhone 16 models.
The leaked information also hints that Apple might introduce five new phones at their September event, instead of the usual four. The fifth phone is expected to be the iPhone SE, which will have a design similar to the iPhone 14 and is set to launch in early 2025. These new models are internally referred to as iPhone17,1, iPhone17,2, iPhone17,3, iPhone17,4, and iPhone17,5.
