Directions : Read the following information carefully and answer the questions.

There are 4 different computers in the showrooms - P, Q, R and S. The price of $Q$ is $10 \%$ more than $P$. The price of $R$ is $12 \%$ more than $Q$. The price of $S$ is $10 \%$ less than that of $R$. The showroom offers $5 \%$ discount on all the purchases before sales tax is calculated. The showroom collects Rs. 250 for delivering any number of computers to the customer. The installation charge per computer of any model is Rs. 750 charged by the showroom on the customer.

The showroom has earned Rs. $2,07,530$ in total by selling computers of type $R$ to a customer. The showroom transported the items and charged only Rs. 350 per installation. The sales tax is $5 \%$. What is the original price of one $R$ model computer, if the customer purchased 11 computers from the showroom and paid 3% state GST ?

Solution: (1)

Total price without installation and transportation $=2,07,530-250-(11 \times 350)$ $=$ Rs. $2,03,430$

Total price before sales tax $=2,03,430 \times\left(\frac{100}{105}\right)$ $=$ Rs. 1,93,743

Total price before GST $=1,93,743 \times\left(\frac{100}{103}\right)$ $=$ Rs. $1,88,100$

Total price before discount $=1,88,100 \times\left(\frac{100}{95}\right)$ $=$ Rs. $1,98,000$

Original price of one R type com-

puter $=\frac{198000}{11}$ $=$ Rs. 18,000
