Total number of bags available in all stores together is 600

In July, 415 of the available bags in store Q remained unsold and 512 of the available bags in store S remain unsold. How many bags were sold by stores Q and S together in July?

(2) 146

(3) 154

(4) 168

(5) 149

Solution: (1)

Number of sold bags :

Store Q⇒1115×(600×25100) =1115×150=110

Store S⇒712×(600×14100) =712×84=49

Required answer =110+49=159
