Percentagewise Distribution of students who are studying M.B.A. in 6 different cities

Total number of students =96000

Cities Male : Female
Lucknow 5 : 3
Mumbai 4 : 3
Kolkata 5 : 4
Chennai 7 : 5
Delhi 6 : 5
Pune 11 : 5

The respective ratio between the number of male and female students who are studying in Lucknow and Kolkata is :

Solution: (2)

Total students in Lucknow =96000×16100=15360

Males ⇒58×15360=9600

Females ⇒38×15360=5760

Total students in Kolkata =96000×9100=8640

Males ⇒59×8640=4800

Females ⇒8640−4800=3840

∴ Required ratio =(9600+4800) :(5760+3840) =14400:9600=3:2
