The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admission to the postgraduate programme of XLRI and other XAT accepting colleges. The eligibility criteria for domestic and NRI candidates are different.

Candidates must hold a three-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university. Those in their final year of graduation can also apply, provided they can provide their bachelor’s degree certificate and mark sheet by the end of the admission year. There is no upper age limit for the XAT exam eligibility criteria, allowing candidates of any age group to apply.

The XAT exam eligibility criteria and that of XLRI are the same. Both do not impose minimum mark restrictions for applying to the PGDM course. However, the eligibility criteria for XLRI may vary depending on the course pursued, but the basic eligibility criteria remain the same.

Candidates who had successfully registered for the exam could download the admit card using their XAT login ID and password.
