Improvement Exams For 12th Graders

Improvement Exams for 12th Graders

Navigating the world of improvement exams can be confusing. This guide aims to provide clarity on the options available to 12th graders who wish to improve their scores. Please note that to appear for improvement, you need to pass all the subjects in the first attempt.

Options for Improvement Exams
  1. Appear for the improvement exam this year: This option allows you to improve your score in only one subject.
  2. Appear next year as a private candidate: If you want to give the improvement exam for more than one subject, you can choose to appear next year. You can appear for both of these improvement exams, this year as well as next year.
Important Information for JEE and BITSAT Aspirants

If you are planning to appear for improvements next year by taking a gap year, remember that IITs, NITs, and BITS need the new improvement marksheet with all 5 subjects in it. If you fall short of 75% again next year in improvement overall (or aggregate in PCM for BITS), your previous year’s marksheet will not be considered.

Dates for Improvement Exams

Keep an eye out on the official website for forms, which should be out in Aug-Sept.

For Those Appearing for Improvement in One Subject This Year

Exams are from 23rd August. You need to contact your school and tell them you need to appear for the improvement exam. Your exams will be held along with the compartment exam this year.

For Those Appearing Next Year

Your exams will be held with 2022-23 batch students in February, so registration will start when the forms for next year are released. The paper, day, and everything else will be the same, and even the results will come out together.

We hope this guide helps you navigate the process of improvement exams. Remember, every setback is a setup for a comeback. Good luck!
