Correct Answer: B

Solution:

$P V^{γ} =$ constant

Therefore $\frac{P_{2}}{P_{1}} = {(\frac{V_{1}}{V_{2}})}^{γ} = {(\frac{V_{1}}{V_{1} / 4})}^{γ} = 4^{γ}$

Therefore $P_{2} = 4^{γ} P$

As g is always greater than one so $4^{γ} > 4$

Therefore $P_{2} > 4 P$
