Solution:

[b] Here, Coefficient of performance $(β) = 5$

$T_{1} = 27^{\circ} C= (27 + 273) K = 300 K$

$As, β = \frac{T_{2}}{T_{1} - T_{2}} \Rightarrow 5 = \frac{T_{2}}{300 - T_{2}}$

$or 1500 - 5 T_{2} = T_{2} or 6 T_{2} = 1500$

$∴ T_{2} = \frac{1500}{6} = 250 K$
