The velocity of ball will remain unchanged in the direction of sloping surface (common tangent)

$\Rightarrow v _{0}\sin \theta =v\cos \theta $

$\Rightarrow \frac{v}{v _{0}}=\tan \theta $

$\Rightarrow e={{\tan }^{2}}\theta .$
