Solution:

$A = {(0.1)}^{2} = 0.01 m^{2}$ , $η = 0.01 P o i s e = 0.001 d e c a p o i s e$ (M.K.S. unit),dv = 0.1 m/s and F = 0.002 N

$F = η A \frac{d v}{d x}$

$∴ d x = \frac{η A d v}{F} = \frac{0.001 \times 0.01 \times 0.1}{0.002} = 0.0005 m$ .
