[a] We know that potential energy of two charge system is given by $U = \frac{1}{4 π \in_{0}} \frac{q_{1} q_{2}}{r}$ According to question, $U_{A} = \frac{1}{4 π ε_{0}} \frac{(+ q) (- Q)}{a} = - \frac{1}{4 π ε_{0}} \frac{Q q}{a}$

$and U_{B} = \frac{1}{4 π ε_{0}} \frac{(+ q) (- Q)}{a} = - \frac{1}{4 π ε_{0}} \frac{Q q}{a}$

$Δ U = U_{B} - U_{A} = 0$ We know that for conservative force, $W = - Δ U = 0$
