What is SATHEE learning platform | All you need to know

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will launch the SATHEE platform today. It is a collaborative effort of UGC, the Ministry of Education, and IIT Kanpur.

By India Today Education Desk: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will launch the University Grant Commission’s SATHEE portal today, March 6. It is a self-paced assessment platform developed in collaboration with UGC, the Ministry of Education, and IIT Kanpur.

Recently, UGC chairperson, M Jagadesh took to his official Twitter account to announce SATHEE. He tweeted, “SATHEE (Self Assessment Test and Help for Entrance Exams) is an initiative by the Ministry of Education, in association with IIT Kanpur, which will give students a self-paced interactive learning and assessment platform to prepare for competitive and other exams.”

WHAT IS THE SATHEE PLATFORM? SATHEE stands for Self Assessment, Test, and Help for Entrance Exams. It is an initiative of the Ministry of Education that aims to give a free learning and assessment platform for students.

It will have preparation materials for students in English, Hindi, and other regional languages of India so that students can prepare for exams like JEE and NEET.

AIM BEHIND SATHEE According to the UGC chairman, the aim of the platform is to bridge the gap for students in society who are not able to afford the costly entrance exam guidance and coaching.

As per the information, the platform will be useful for candidates who will be preparing for CAT, GATE, UPSC, etc. It will also allow candidates to have experience in coaching centres.

The platform will have videos made by the faculty members of IITs and IISC to help students prepare for the competitive examinations. The videos would also help students learn concepts and revise topics they are weak in.
