- Estimation of nitrogen through Kjeldahl’s method is not suitable for organic compounds containing nitrogen in ring or nitrogen in nitro or azo groups. It is because of the fact that nitrogen of these compounds does not show conversion to Ammonium sulphate $\left(\left(\mathrm{NH}{4}\right){2} \mathrm{SO}_{4}\right)$ during the process. Hence, among the given compounds only aniline can be used suitably for estimation of nitrogen by Kjeldahl’s method.
