The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2024 is set to commence on April 4, 2024, and will continue until April 12, 2024. Conducted by the National Testing Agency, the examination will be held in two shifts, from 9 am to 12 pm and then from 3 pm to 6 pm. The admit cards for the exams on April 4, 5, and 6 are now available for download on the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.
To ensure a hassle-free examination experience, students appearing for the exams are advised to download their hall tickets using their registration number and date of birth. The admit card, along with a recent photograph, valid government-issued ID proof, and other required documents, must be carried to the examination centre. Additionally, candidates must adhere to the dress code specified on the admit card.
Exam Day Guidelines
To avoid any last-minute rush, students are advised to arrive at the examination centre at least 30 minutes prior to the reporting time. It is essential to note that candidates who arrive after the designated entry time will not be permitted to take the examination.
To ensure a smooth examination process, candidates are requested to bring the following items:
- A valid admit card with a recent photograph and ID proof
- No electronic devices, mobile phones, study materials, or unauthorized items are allowed
- Diabetic students are permitted to bring sugar tablets, transparent water bottles, and fruits to the exam centre
Dress Code and Exam-Day Guidelines
To maintain a comfortable and distraction-free environment, candidates are advised to wear:
- Slippers or sandals with low heels as footwear
- Light clothes with half sleeves, such as T-shirts, for clothing
- Avoid closed footwear like shoes and large button garments
- Candidates with religious attire due to religious or customary reasons, which may not conform to the dress code, are requested to report early for proper frisking
Admit Card Requirements
The admit card must be printed in colour on A4 size paper, with all details, including the photo and signature, properly visible. If the admit card has multiple pages, candidates must print out all the pages.

To ensure a successful examination experience, candidates are advised to avoid:
- Arriving late at the examination centre
- Bringing unauthorized items, such as electronic devices or study materials
- Wearing closed footwear or large button garments
