CLAT 2025 Exam Registration Begins Today: A Step-by-Step Guide to Register and More

As of today, July 15, 2024, the registration process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 has officially kicked off. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has announced that eligible and interested candidates can register for the exam until October 15, 2024, on their official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

The CLAT 2025 examination is a crucial step for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs at 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) and other participating institutions. To be eligible for the UG program, candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved categories). For the PG program, candidates must hold an LLB degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). There is no age limit for the exam.

To register for CLAT 2025, candidates need to provide certain documents, including a recent passport-sized photograph, their signature, category certificate (if applicable), PWD certificate (if applicable), and domicile certificate (if applicable). The registration process is a straightforward five-step procedure:

Step 1: Visit the Official Website Begin by visiting the official website of the Consortium of NLUs at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Step 2: Register and Verify Register by filling in your details and verify your registration through an OTP sent to your mobile number.

Step 3: Upload Required Documents Upload the required documents, including your recent passport-sized photograph, signature, and category certificates (if applicable).

Step 4: Pay the Application Fee Pay the application fee of Rs 4000 for General, OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO, and OCI candidates, and Rs 3500 for SC and ST candidates.

Step 5: Submit the Form and Print the Confirmation Sheet Submit your form and print the confirmation sheet for future reference.

The CLAT 2025 exam will be conducted in an offline, written mode on December 1, 2024. The exam consists of 120 questions across five sections: English language, current affairs and general knowledge, legal reasoning, logical reasoning, and quantitative techniques. Candidates will have two hours to complete the test.
