SSC GD Recruitment 2025: Notification, Vacancy, Eligibility, and Selection Process

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to release the notification for the recruitment of Constables (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), NIA, SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles for the year 2025 on August 27, 2024. The application window will be open for four weeks, starting from August 27, 2024, and will close on September 27, 2024. Vacancy Details

The number of vacancies for the Constable (GD) and Rifleman (GD) positions has not been officially confirmed by the SSC. However, it is expected to be in thousands. The exact number of vacancies will be updated once the notification is released.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the recruitment, candidates must have passed the Matriculation exam from a recognized board. The age limit is between 18 and 23 years, with relaxation of 3 years for SC/ST candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Application Fee

The application fee for General and Other Backward Class candidates is ₹100, while SC/ST and Person with Disability candidates are exempt from paying the fee.

Selection Process

The selection process for Constable/Rifleman (GD) consists of four stages:

1. Written Exam: The written exam will be conducted online and will consist of 80 questions, with a duration of 60 minutes. The exam will test candidates’ knowledge in General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): The PET will assess candidates’ physical fitness, with different tasks for male and female candidates.
3. Physical Standard Test (PST): The PST will evaluate candidates’ physical standards, including height, chest, and weight, as well as visual standards.
4. Medical Test: The medical test will include a detailed examination of candidates’ vision, hearing, physical fitness, and other medical parameters.
