RRB ALP Recruitment 2024: A Golden Opportunity for 18,799 Aspirants

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have officially released a notification for the recruitment of 18,799 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts on January 19, 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who are eager to join the Indian Railways and start their career as ALPs. The application process will be available on the official website from January 20 to February 19, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the post, candidates must have passed the Matriculation exam from a recognized board and hold an ITI Trade certificate in the respective discipline from SCVT/NCVT. Alternatively, they can have completed a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering or pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an AICTE recognized institution. The age limit is 18 to 30 years as of July 1, 2024, with a relaxation of 3 and 5 years for OBC (NCL) and SC/ST aspirants, respectively.

Application Fee

The application fee for General/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates is ₹500, while SC, ST, Ex-Serviceman, PWDs, Female, Transgender, Minorities, and Economically Backward Class candidates need to pay ₹250 only.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of three stages:

  1. CBT I: An online exam with 75 questions, lasting 60 minutes, and carrying 75 marks. The marking scheme is 1 mark for each correct answer, with a negative marking of ⅓ mark for each incorrect answer.
  2. CBT II: An online exam with 100 questions in Part A and 75 questions in Part B, lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes, and carrying 100 marks for Part A and 75 marks for Part B. The marking scheme is the same as CBT I.
  3. Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Candidates who clear CBT I and II will be called for this test, and the final selection list will be prepared.

  3. Enter basic and educational qualification details and proceed to the next page.
  4. Upload documents with a photograph and signature, along with scanned copies of documents.
  5. Pay the application fee using a debit card, credit card, NET banking, or UPI, and submit the online application.

  • CBT I exam date: Between June and August 2024

Salary

The selected candidates will receive a salary of ₹19,900.
