The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced the exam dates for the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) recruitment process, also known as IBPS RRB 2024. This year, a total of 10,313 vacancies have been announced for Office Assistants (Clerks), Officer Scale I (PO), and Officer Scale II and III positions. The selection process will consist of two stages for Office Assistants, three stages for Officer Scale I, and a combined exam and interview for Officer Scale II and III.

IBPS RRB Exam Date 2024

The preliminary exams for Office Assistants and Officer Scale I will be held on August 3, 4, 10, 17, and 18, 2024. The main exam for Office Assistants will take place on October 6, 2024, and for Officer Scale I on September 29, 2024. The combined exam for Officer Scale II and III will also be held on September 29, 2024.

IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the desired post, candidates must meet the specified educational qualifications and experience requirements. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Office Assistants (Multipurpose): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. Proficiency in the local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s. Desirable: Working knowledge of Computers.
  • Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. Preference given to candidates with a degree in specific fields such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, etc. Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s. Desirable: Working knowledge of Computers.
  • Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference given to candidates with specific degrees. Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
  • Officer Scale-II (Information Technology): Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in Electronics/Communication/Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc. One year in the relevant field.
  • Officer Scale-II (Chartered Accountant): Certified Associate (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. One year as a Chartered Accountant.
  • Officer Scale-II (Law Officer): Degree from a recognized University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Two years as an advocate or Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions for not less than two years.
  • Officer Scale-II (Treasury Manager): Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance from a recognized institution. One year in the relevant field.
  • Officer Scale-II (Marketing Officer): MBA in Marketing from recognized university. One year in the relevant field.
  • Officer Scale-II (Agricultural Officer): Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Dairy/Animal Husbandry/Forestry/Veterinary Science/Agricultural Engineering/Pisciculture or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Two years in the relevant field.
  • Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference given to candidates with a Degree/Diploma in specific fields. Minimum 5 years experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

IBPS RRB Age Limit

The age limit for each post is as follows:

  • Office Assistants (Multipurpose): Between 18 years and 28 years
  • Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): Between 18 years and 30 years
  • Officer Scale-II (Manager): Between 21 years and 32 years
  • Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager): Between 21 years and 40 years
