The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) has officially released the notification for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025, a crucial exam for law aspirants seeking admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs. The offline exam is scheduled to take place on December 1, 2024, in a single shift between 2 PM and 4 PM.
According to the notification, the application window will open on July 15, 2024, and candidates can register until October 15, 2024. The exam date, result date, and other important details are listed below:

CLAT 2025 Exam Fee and Eligibility
The application fee for the CLAT 2025 exam is as follows:
- General category candidates: Rs 4,000
- SC/ST/PwD category candidates: Rs 3,500
Eligibility Criteria for CLAT 2025
UG Programmes:
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 45% marks.
- SC, ST, and PwD category students must secure 40% marks in Class 12 exams to be eligible to apply.
- Those scheduled to appear for the Class 12 exam in March/April 2025 may also apply.
PG Programmes:
- General category candidates must have passed LLB with a minimum of 50% marks.
- SC, ST, and PwD category candidates must have cleared graduation with 45% marks.
- Those who will be appearing for the final LLB exam in April or May 2025 are also eligible to apply for Post Graduate courses.
