CLAT 2025 Notification Released: Know the Application Fee, Registration Dates, and Exam Details

The Consortium of National Law Universities has announced the registration dates for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025, a national-level entrance exam for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs offered by 22 National Law Universities in India. The CLAT 2025 notification is now available on the official website, and candidates can start applying from July 15, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for UG and PG Programs

For the Under-Graduate Programme (Five Year Integrated Law Degree), candidates must have passed the 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks or equivalent grade. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories need to score 40% marks or equivalent grade. Those appearing for the qualifying examination in March/April 2025 are also eligible to apply.

For the POST-GRADUATE PROGRAMME (One Year LL.M. Degree), candidates must have an LL.B. Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks or its equivalent grade. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories need to score 45% marks or its equivalent grade. Those appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May 2025 are also eligible to apply.

CLAT Application Fee

The online application fee for both UG and PG programs is Rs. 4,000/- for general category candidates. However, SC/ST/PwD/BPL candidates need to pay Rs. 3,500/-.

CLAT Exam Date

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 will be conducted on December 1, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

To fill the CLAT application form, candidates need to follow these steps:

1. Visit the official website: https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/.
2. Look for the registration link and sign up on the portal by providing basic details such as name, email ID, and phone number.
3. Confirm your registration details.
4. Fill up the CLAT application form and upload the necessary documents.
5. Pay the CLAT application fee.
6. Submit the application form and download a copy of it for future reference.
