CLAT 2025 Notification Released: Application Process Begins July 15
The Consortium of National Law Universities has officially announced the notification for the Common Law Admission Test 2025 (CLAT 2025) on July 7. Aspiring law students can now register for the exam on the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in from July 15 to October 15, 2024.
According to the notification, the CLAT 2025 exam is scheduled to take place on December 1, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The exam duration is 2 hours, and the paper will consist of 150 questions, covering sections such as English, Maths, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, and Legal Aptitude.
To be eligible for the exam, candidates must meet the specified educational qualifications. For the 5-year Integrated Law Degree (UG Programme), candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks or its equivalent grade. For the One-year LLM Degree (PG Programme), candidates must hold an LL.B Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks or its equivalent grade. There is no age limit for the application process.
The application fee for both UG and PG Programmes is Rs 4000 for unreserved category candidates and Rs 3500 for SC/ST/PwD/BPL category candidates. To apply, candidates must follow these steps:
- Visit the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in and click on the CLAT 2025 application link once it becomes live.
- Register and log in to apply for the exam.
- Fill out the application form, pay the fee, and submit the form.
- Take a printout of the application form for future reference.
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 22 National Law Universities in India. All admissions to the 5-year integrated LL.B. and LL.M. programmes that commence in the Academic Year 2025-2026 will be through the CLAT 2025.
With the notification released, law aspirants can now start preparing for the exam. The Consortium of National Law Universities has provided a window of opportunity for candidates to register and apply for the exam, which will be held on December 1, 2024.
