CLAT 2025 Notification Out: Important Dates and Eligibility Criteria Revealed

The Association of National Law Universities has officially announced the dates and details for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025. The highly anticipated exam is scheduled to take place on December 1, 2024, from 2 pm to 4 pm (with an extended time of 4:40 pm for candidates with disabilities).

Aspiring law students can start registering for the exam on July 15, 2024, and the last date to submit their applications is October 15, 2024. The registration form will be available on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

To be eligible for the undergraduate program (five-year integrated law degree), candidates must have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks or its equivalent grade. However, candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Person with Disabilities (PwD) categories need to secure a minimum of 40% marks or its equivalent grade.

For the postgraduate program (one-year LLM degree), candidates must hold an LLB degree or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks or its equivalent grade. SC, ST, and PwD candidates, on the other hand, need to secure a minimum of 40% marks or its equivalent grade.

Interestingly, candidates who are appearing for their qualifying examination in March or April 2025 are also eligible to apply for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. This provides an opportunity for students who are still awaiting their results to apply for the coveted law programs.
