CLAT 2025 Notification OUT: Exam Scheduled for December 1

The Consortium of National Law Universities has officially released the notification for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025, marking the beginning of the registration process for the prestigious national law entrance exam. As of July 15, 2024, candidates can start registering for CLAT 2025, with the deadline set for October 15, 2024.

According to the official announcement, the CLAT 2025 exam will take place on December 1, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The two-hour pen-and-paper exam will test the candidates’ knowledge and skills in various areas of law.

To apply for CLAT 2025, candidates can follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the official CLAT website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in, and click on the CLAT 2025 registration link on the homepage.
  2. Enter the required information to register and submit the application.
  3. Log in to your account using your credentials and complete the application form.
  4. Pay the application fee and submit the form.
  5. Download a copy of the confirmation page and save a printed copy for future reference.

The CLAT 2025 exam pattern consists of 120 multiple-choice questions, each worth one mark, in the 2-hour CLAT UG exam. For each incorrect response, there will be a 0.25 deduction from the score. The CLAT PG question paper will cover topics such as constitutional law, jurisprudence, family law, criminal law, property law, administrative law, law of contracts, torts, company law, public international law, tax law, environmental law, and labour and industrial law.

The CLAT UG paper will include questions on English language, current affairs, general knowledge, logical reasoning, legal reasoning, and quantitative techniques.

The CLAT is a national law entrance exam conducted by the Consortium of NLUs, serving as a gateway to one-year and five-year integrated LLB (UG) and PG programmes. The exam results determine admission to 24 NLUs for undergraduate courses and 21 NLUs for postgraduate courses.

With the notification out, aspiring law students can now start preparing for the exam and take the first step towards pursuing their dreams in the legal profession.
