NEET PG 2024: New Dates Announced, Exam to be Held on August 11 in Two Shifts

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced new dates for the NEET PG 2024 exam. The exam, which was postponed just 12 hours before it was originally scheduled, will now take place on August 11, 2024, in two shifts.

Initially, the NEET-PG exam was supposed to be held on June 23. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, it was postponed. According to the latest announcement, the medical entrance exam will now be conducted in two shifts on August 11, 2024.

The official notice stated, “In continuation of the NBEMS notice dated 22.06.2024, the conduct of the NEET-PG 2024 examination has been rescheduled. The NEET-PG 2024 will now be on August 11, 2024, in two shifts.”

The cut-off date for eligibility to appear in the NEET-PG 2024 remains August 15, 2024. Officials have mentioned that more details about the two-shift exam schedule will be available on the NBEMS website (https://natboard.edu.in) in due course.

On June 22, the Union Health Ministry postponed the NEET-PG exam as a precautionary measure due to concerns about the integrity of some competitive exams. The ministry stated that it would thoroughly assess the robustness of the NEET-PG processes, which are conducted by NBEMS in collaboration with its technical partner, TCS.

In related news, the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) also announced new dates for their exam. The UGC-NET exam, which was canceled a day after it was held on June 18 due to concerns about its integrity, will now take place from August 21 to September 4.
