Candidates who have secured a rank in the WBJEE and JEE Main 2024 exams can now register for the counselling process on the official website – wbjeeb.nic.in.

The counselling will be conducted in three rounds: Allotment, Upgradation, and Mop-Up. The process includes several steps such as registration, selecting preferred colleges and courses, locking choices, seat allotment, document verification, and payment of the seat acceptance fee. All these steps will be managed through a centralised system.

Seats will be assigned based on the seat matrix and the list of participating colleges available on the official website – wbjeeb.in.

According to the notification, there will be a combined counselling session for both WBJEE 2024 and JEE Main 2024 rank holders. Seats will be allocated based on the candidates’ ranks and their preferences.

During the upgradation round, candidates who have already been allotted seats can opt for a higher preference if available. The mop-up round will be held to fill any remaining vacant seats after the previous rounds are completed.

Students will need to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 500 and provide necessary personal and academic information, along with bank details, for registration. Candidates should be very careful while entering their information during the registration process, as no changes or corrections can be made after submission.

For registration, candidates must submit documents including their class X admit card or birth certificate for date of birth verification, class X mark sheet, class XII mark sheet, OCI certificate, domicile certificate, PWD certificate, and TFW certificate.
