JEE Main 2024 Session 2: Exam Guidelines and Dress Code

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2024 begins today, April 4, and will continue until April 12, 2024. The National Testing Agency is responsible for conducting this examination. Admit cards for the exams scheduled on April 4, 5, and 6 have been released on the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.

Students appearing for the exams can download their hall tickets using their registration number and date of birth. The JEE Main 2024 session 2 exams will be held in two shifts: from 9 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm.

According to the guidelines, candidates must bring their JEE Main admit card, a photograph, valid government-issued ID proof, and other necessary documents to the examination center. Additionally, they must follow the dress code mentioned on the admit card.

JEE Main 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

Here are the guidelines for the JEE Main 2024 session 2 exam day:

  • Arrive 30 minutes before the reporting time at the examination center.
  • Candidates arriving after the entry time will not be allowed to take the exam.
  • Bring an admit card with the latest photograph and valid ID proof to the exam.
  • Do not bring items like mobile phones, electronic devices, study materials, or any unauthorized items.
  • Diabetic students are allowed to bring eatables such as sugar tablets, transparent water bottles, and fruits to the exam center.

JEE Main 2024: Dress Code and Exam-Day Guidelines

  • Candidates should wear slippers or sandals with low heels and avoid closed footwear like shoes.
  • Wear light clothes with half sleeves, such as T-shirts. Long sleeves and garments with large buttons are not allowed.
  • Candidates wearing religious attire for religious or customary reasons, which do not comply with the JEE Main dress code, must report early for proper frisking.
  • The admit card should be printed in color on A4 size paper. Ensure that all details, including the photo and signature, are clearly visible. If there are multiple pages, print all the pages.

What to Avoid

  • Do not bring mobile phones, electronic devices, study materials, or any unauthorized items to the exam center.
