IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria outlined by IBPS, which include nationality, age limit, and educational qualifications.

Nationality

Candidates must be:

  • An Indian citizen, or
  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • An individual of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the goal of establishing permanent residency in India.

Candidates in categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) must obtain a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India.

Age Limit & Relaxation

Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years of age, born between 02.07.1996 and 01.07.2004. Age relaxations are available for special categories:

IBPS Clerk 2024 Selection Process

The selection process consists of an Online Preliminary Examination and an Online Main Examination. There is no interview process for this position. Selection is based entirely on the results of the Mains exam, with 100% weightage given to the Mains exam score. Candidates must first qualify in the Prelims to advance to the Mains.

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern

The IBPS Clerk Exam will be conducted in two stages: Preliminary Online Exam and Main Online Exam.
