The Institute of Banking Personnel and Selection (IBPS) has released the IBPS Clerk-XIV 2024 Notification on July 1, 2024. This notification invites online applications from Indian citizens to fill 6128 clerk vacancies through the IBPS Clerk Exam. Age Limit (as on July 1, 2024):

Candidates must have been born between July 2, 1996, and July 1, 2004. The age limit for the Clerk post is as follows:

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years

Age Relaxation:

Age relaxation is available for reserved category candidates as per Government of India guidelines. The details are as follows:

  • SC/ST/Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • Persons with Disabilities: 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen: Actual period of service rendered in the defense forces plus 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years
  • Widows, divorced women, and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried: Age concession up to 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST candidates

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have completed any Graduate Degree. Additionally, candidates must have studied Computer/IT at high school/college/institute or possess a certificate/degree/diploma in computer operations or language. Proficiency in the official language of the State/UT in which they wish to apply is also required.

Selection Process:

The selection process for IBPS Clerk involves two stages:

  1. Online Preliminary Exam
  2. Online Mains Exam

Note:

  • The test will be bilingual (English and Hindi).
  • All questions will be objective type with five options.
  • For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
  • Unanswered questions will not carry any negative marks.
  • There will be both sectional and overall cut-offs.

Application Fee:

The application fee must be paid online. Once paid, the fee/intimation charges will not be refunded. The fee details are as follows:

  • SC/ST/PWD/EXSM Candidates: ₹175
  • UR/Others: ₹850

Nationality/Citizenship:

A candidate must be either:

  • A Citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Follow these simple steps to apply online for the IBPS Clerk 2024 Recruitment:

  1. Visit the IBPS website www.ibps.in.
  2. On the home page, click “Apply Online.”
  3. New users must register using their active email ID and mobile number.
  4. A Registration Number and Password will be generated. Note them down.
  5. Log in and fill in the application form carefully. Verify the details before submission.
  6. Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, thumb impression, and handwritten declaration in the prescribed format.
  7. Click “SUBMIT.”
  8. Pay the application fee through online mode only.
  9. Print the application form for future reference.
